ECS 192 and ECS 199This page is used to post information about currently open ECS 192 (Internship in Computer Science) and ECS 199 (Special Study for Advanced Undergraduates) projects. If you are interest in taking ECS 192, please contact a faculty sponsor who is most familiar with the project you are or have been working on. Michael Gertz is only sponsoring ECS 192 projects that are related to databases and information systems. Projects should cover all aspects of a database project, including requirements analysis, database design, database implementation (including user interfaces), testing and evaluation, and project documentation. If you are interested in a special study project, please contact Michael Gertz directly (gertz@cs.ucdavis.edu). Currently, there are several projects related to database and information systems. Prospective students should have taken at least ECS 165A. Furthermore, students should have experience with the programming language Java (depending on the type of special study project) and either one of the DBMS Oracle, DB2, Informix, or Microsoft SQL Sever.
For the procedures, proposal format guidelines etc. regarding ECS 192
and ECS 199, please check this
Web site.
